Tiger Woods is "hopeful" that he will be healthy enough to play in next week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard.
Tightness in his left Achilles tendon during Sunday’s final round of the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship eventually forced Woods to withdraw after hitting his tee shot at the 12th hole.
After being evaluated by doctors, Woods tweeted on Monday night that he "got good news from doc tonight. Only mild strain of left Achilles. Can resume hitting balls late in week and hopeful for next week." (Click here for Woods’ Twitter feed.)

Woods is scheduled to play at Bay Hill next week, his last start prior to the first major of the year, the Masters.
The Achilles problem has been an issue for Woods for nearly a year.
At THE PLAYERS Championship last year, Woods pulled out after just nine holes in the opening round after re-injuring his left knee and Achilles tendon, an injury he originally sustained during the third round of the Masters last year.
Woods missed three months, saying he didn’t want to return until he knew he was healthy.
After pulling out of Sunday’s round, Woods issued a statement that he “felt tightness in my left Achilles warming up this morning, and it continued to get progressively worse. After hitting my tee shot at 12, I decided it was necessary to withdraw. In the past, I may have tried to continue to play, but this time, I decided to do what I thought was necessary."
