Tiger Woods shot a 1-under 69 Saturday at PGA National.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. ?Tiger Woods said that he was close to putting together a low round Saturday at PGA National. But high winds and a still sometimes balky putter made that easier said than done.
With the wind gusting in the 20-mph range most of the afternoon, Woods was unable to make up much ground with a 1-under 69 that leaves him 3 under for the week and well back of the lead .
밢nce we got to the back nine it was whipping out there,?Woods said. ?Nos.] 15 and 17 are no fun today.?/p>
Things started out promising enough for Woods, who erased an early bogey with three birdies over a five-hole stretch. He would make nothing but pars and one more bogey over the final 11 holes, however.
Woods certainly putted better than he did in the opening round when he took 34 putts. Saturday, he needed just 28. He still missed a couple from close range, though, including a 5-footer for par on the second hole. He also missed a par save from just inside 11 feet on the 13th.
Asked if there was one thing in particular holding him back, Woods said matter-of-factly, 밒t뭩 not just one thing ?it is what it is.?/p>
Well back going into the final round, all Woods an hope for is that the wind keeps blowing and the leaders come back to him.
밳ou never know with tomorrow,?Woods said. 밫he finishing holes here, with the wind that is supposed to switch directions tomorrow, anything can happen around this place.
밳ou just need to be around the lead and hopefully tomorrow, if I can get off to a good start, get myself somewhere up there, you just never know.?/p>
